Seasonal Workers--Facilities--District Wide 

The Worthington School District is accepting applications for Seasonal Workers to work from May 5, 2025 to August 29, 2025.

Positions will work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday. Typical schedule will be 7am to 3:30pm; High Schools will run a 2nd shift in additional to 1st shift, those hours will be 1:45pm-10:15pm and will be available for a few applicants. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be able to perform heavy physical labor that includes indoor summer site cleaning, materials relocation, and equipment movement. Some workers will work at grounds maintenance and be able to perform heavy physical labor including weed pulling, mulching, mowing and painting. 

Rate of pay $17.11/hr

Bilingual Educational Assistant (Portuguese or Spanish)--Multiple locations

Overall Duties: 
As an active member of the team providing instructional support to students from various language backgrounds in grades K-12, this position will initially provide support for English Learners in middle or high school.  Additionally, this role will connect multilingual families to school staff.  Travel to different school sites may be necessary, while assisting the Coordinator of Language Arts, EL Program Leader, and Building Principal(s) with various projects.  Under general supervision, this position reports to the Coordinator of Language Arts or supervisor as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent and State of Ohio Educational Aide Permit.  Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English, as well as in Spanish and/or Portuguese.

• Assists in the instruction of English Language Learners in cooperation with the English Language teacher and classroom teacher 
• Works with students in small group or full classroom settings
• Strengthens connections between school staff and families
• Acts as an interpreter in various school situations, including parent conferences
• Travels to various school sites and other locations
• Assists health staff in securing needed information for each child
• Attends inservice, staff, evening meetings, orientation, and other special meetings to support families or for personal professional learning 
• Supports EL Teacher Leader with connections to community partners
• Reports to EL Teacher Leader for overall coordination of scheduling
• Performs other duties as assigned
