Position Purpose Responsible for day to day site operation of campus library. Perfom routine clerical duties. Works under supervision of campus principal.
Essential Job Functions Library Program Support - Implement current school library program and create and atmosphere that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of student.
- Help library patrons use library/media center resources including computers and other equipment
- Make recommendations for purchases of materials and equipment as needed
Student Instructional Support - Provide instruction for students and other library users as needed and help them locate resources
- Reinforce reading instruction as directed by teachers.
- Schedule and prepare materials and reserve collection for classroom instructional use
Accountingand Inventory of library - Process, organize, distribute, and maintain inventory of library/media center resources.
Clerical Support - Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other docments as required.
Student Management - Monitor students and maintain appropriate student behavior and an orderly atmospere.
Additional Duties: Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Profile - Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas eduational aide certificate or the ability to obtain
- Prior experience working with students is preferred.
