2024-2025 CLASSROOM AIDE AND OFFICE SUBSTITUTE POOL
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our school district as Classroom Aide and Office Substitutes. As a support staff classroom aide or office substitute, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (special education aid positions require additional certifications). WCSD will assist in obtaining any needed licensure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and teachers.
- Genuine passion for education and a desire to help students succeed.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with different grade levels and subject areas.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Substitute support staff personnel shall be paid according to the following rates:
Regular Ed Aide/Library/Healthroom/Office $14.23 per hour
Special Ed Aide $14.87 per hour
The pre-employment physical/drug test and the background check for support staff substitutes will be paid for by WCSD. At the time of an approved application, the substitute applicant will pay WCSD $100 to cover the cost of the pre-employment physical/drug test. WCSD will reimburse the substitute $100 through the payroll process after the substitute provides documentation showing they have subbed in the district for 3 full days (or 6 half days that do not need to be in sequential order).
Special Education Substitutes: Any support staff substitute who is subbing in a special education position must have a Special Education Program Aide license on file with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (or receipt of payment for license). Attainment of this license is the responsibility of the substitute. As of the date of this update, the cost for the license is $100. Upon providing documentation showing they have subbed in the district for 3 full days (or 6 half days that do not need to be in sequential order), WCSD will reimburse the substitute $100 through the payroll process. If the substitute begins employment with WCSD and is already licensed with the Special Education Program Aide license, no reimbursement will take place.
