Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
CPR certification
Applicant must complete concussion training
Applicant must complete mental health & suicide prevention training
Valid Driving License
Prior coaching experience in this sport
Any other combination of related education, experience and training
Knowledge and skills sufficient to perform all duties of the position
Prefers leadership situations relating to meeting the social, emotional, psychological and academic needs of students
Prefers a work environment where flexibility, ability to deal with conflict, a high tolerance for stress, an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions, and long hours are a part of the assignment
Job Description
Under the direction of the athletic director, and in accordance with district policies, procedures and CHSAA regulations, the head coach shall be responsible for the phases of the program for which they are hired.
Head coach will oversee the entirety of the football program working with assistant coaches, players, school personnel and parents to ensure a well run successful program. Coaches instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, team strategies and physical training necessary for them to achieve a degree of individual and team success.
Prior coaching experience strongly desired, as is substantial knowledge specific to this sport and instructional/motivational rapport with students. Relationship building is a must.
