JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment for students and staff, facilitating effective educational activities.
ASSIGNMENT:
Non-Certified, On-Call
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Event Setups: Timely preparation and setup for extracurricular activities and events.
Cleaning Classrooms: Responsible for trash removal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces such as blackboards/whiteboards, windows, desks, countertops, and other classroom areas.
Bathroom Sanitation: Includes trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing sinks, toilets, urinals, partitions, and mirrors, along with restocking supplies as needed.
Cleaning Common Areas: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in hallways, gyms, and commons through trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general upkeep.
Summer Cleaning: Engages in thorough cleaning activities during the summer, including mopping, stripping, sealing, waxing floors, dusting, and cleaning electronic equipment and furniture.
Additional Maintenance Tasks: Involves basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, adjusting locker combinations, and fixing furniture.
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Variable noise levels with no continuous exposure to hazardous noise.
Occasional exposure to heights, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, chemicals, and bodily fluids.
Proper safety protocols and lifting techniques must be followed.
SUPERVISION OF OTHER EMPLOYEES:
This position does not involve the supervision of other district employees.
