Qualifications:
 
1. Master's degree required in School Administration or Curriculum and Instruction, Principal's License/Certificate or coursework completed toward obtaining Principal's License from the Ohio Department of Education, preferred.
2. Minimum of five years experience in education as teacher.
3. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, models Social Emotional Learning in daily interacts and routines. 
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Demonstrates an exceptional attendance record.
6. Other qualities of academic, professional and personal excellence.
7. Excellent knowledge, experience and participation in the Ohio Improvement Process.

 Duties:
 
1. Be responsible to building Principal.
2. Assist in the day-to-day duties within the building.
3. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren Board of Education pertaining to classroom teachers and the teaching process.
4. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the building Principal or his/her designee.

Salary:  Placement on Salary Table A contingent upon degree and prior experience.  
 Additional days will be paid at the per diem rate, not to exceed twenty-five (25) days at the discretion of the Superintendent and/or his designee.

Substitute Night Janitor (Repost 1/25/2023)

Minimum Qualifications:
 
1. High school diploma or successful completion of GED.
2. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
3. Must have the ability to perform the duties required by the job.
4. Must participate in District training on proper cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning supplies.
5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to work alone with limited supervision.
6. Must be able to work on your feet for over 90% of the work day or assignment.
 
 
Essential Duties:
 
1. Be available to fill in as a substitute janitor (0 to 3 evenings a week) for an 8.5 hour shift, when janitor work is needed in the district.
2. Substitute janitors will be asked to use their mobile devices to text in to a designated line every Monday morning (by 9:00 a.m.) to communicate their availability to work for the week.  Assignments are made on an "as needed" basis to fit the needs of the buildings as openings are available.
3. When an assignment is given to a substitute janitor, that individual must be available to work the entire hours/shift of the work assignment.
4. Report to work at the assigned building promptly at the start of the assigned shift.  Use district issued ID's to clock in and out for the assigned shift.  All subsitutes are required to fill out and sign their individual time sheets at each building.
5. Participate in and be open to the training provided by the maintenance staff in the buildings and adhere to our specific cleaning requirements.
6. Clean and remove trash in all assigned rooms and areas, including restrooms, according to district cleaning standards.  Fill cleaning supplies in areas as needs arise.  Be diligent in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms in assigned area.
7. Make every effort to conserve power, water and other utilities; handle district equipment and janitorial supplies efficiently and respectfully.
8. Check in with the Plant Manager 1, Plant Manager 2 or individual in charge in the assigned building for nightly assignments.
9. Be willing to help the Maintenance staff set up for any special projects or events in the building.
10. Substitute janitors must adhere to the same breaks and dinner schedule (if applicable) as the building custodial staff.
11. When assigned a specific cleaning area, follow posted schedule of cleaning tasks for the given day.
12. Immediately report any emergencies to the Plant Manager II or the individual in charge.
13. Maintain the safety and security of your assigned area; specifically pay attention to any exterior exits.
14. Report any unauthorized individuals on the premises to the person in charge or call a supervisor.
15. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
16. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent, the Executive Director of Business Operations, or his/her designee.
 
Salary:    Per negotiated union contract.
