Job Summary:

Responsible to carry out job duties as described in the assigned work area.  Building assignment and work area are subject to change on a daily basis.  Individual will be expected to assist in building wide events as needed.  Maintain a clean and safe environment for students, staff and related public guests.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or successful completion of GED.
2. Ability to follow instruction and work well in a team environment.
3. Must possess the ability to perform the duties required by the job.
4. Prior to assignment, participate in district training on proper cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning supplies is required.
5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to work alone with limited supervision.
6. Must be able to work on your feet for over 90% of the work day.
 
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous successful experience in commercial/professional cleaning and relevant work experience.
 
Summary Of Essential Job Duties:
1. Check in with Plant Manager I or II about specific daily needs/events in the building.
2. If no immediate needs, follow buildings’ posted schedule of daily work tasks for assigned area.
3. Clean and remove trash in all assigned rooms and areas, including restrooms, according to district cleaning standards.
4. Fill cleaning supplies in areas as needs arise.
5. Be diligent in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms in assigned area.
6. Participate in any special cleaning projects in the building that may be scheduled with the Plant Manager’s.
7. Address any repairs needed or issues that need attention to the Plant Manager II.
8. Immediately report any emergencies to the Plant Manager II or the individual in charge.
9. Maintain the safety and security of your assigned area; specifically pay attention to any exterior exits.
10. Report any unauthorized individuals on the premises to the person in charge or call a supervisor.
11. If applicable, be willing to fill-in in the Plant Manager II’s area if asked. Make sure you fully understand the building security alarm procedures.
12. Work with and care for district cleaning equipment and tools used.
13. Perform specific assigned duties and projects during summer cleaning and other school breaks.
14. Report off to work and submit time off requests to the Supervisor of Maintenance, according to the guidelines in the local contract.
15. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
16. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent/CEO, the Executive Director of Business Operations, or his/her designee.

SALARY:  Salary Table D, Salary Range:  As per negotiated contract.

CONTRACT:  260-262 Days (52 Week); 8.0 hours per day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent.

DUTIES:
1. Greet school visitors while interacting with the public in the school office or other settings.
2. Ensure that ALL visitors sign in, receive an identification badge and are made aware of the building visitation policies and procedures when working in or covering the school office.
3. Assist students, public and staff as needed.
4. Direct visitors to appropriate destinations.
5. Share responsibility with other clerical team members in the operation of the PK-8 school office and be directly responsible to the Principal or designee(s).
6. Be responsible for your specific pod data.
7. Assist in areas of public relations and communications with students, staff, families and community.
8. Assist in scheduling, as needed, exercising priority, including:
   1. Building assemblies;
   2. Parent/Teacher conferences;
   3. Building meetings; and
   4. Any other appointments as required.
9. Keep constantly informed of school policies, guidelines and procedures.
10. Answer incoming phone lines and assist person on the phone as needed.
11. Help pupils, staff members and parents with routine problems.
12. Receive and deliver messages to staff and students, electronic and/or hard copy, according to building and district protocol.
13. Prepare, receive and distribute inter-office, U.S. and electronic mail as required.
14. Operate office machines and maintain supplies for copy machines, faxes, etc.
15. Maintain student information in DASL and permanent record files which include:
    1. Enrolling student;
    2. Withdrawing student and releasing pertinent information to school;
    3. Attaching end of year grade stickers to student’s permanent record card;
    4. Assist in retention lists and summer school grades;
    5. Attaching or recording end of year assessment data to student assessment record;
    6. Prepare 8^th grade files at the end of the school year to be sent to the High School; and
    7. Account for all pupils enrolled for the previous year.
16. Enter all daily attendance in computer, maintain and retain hard copy files including:
    1. Daily attendance;
    2. Tardy to school;
    3. Excuses from previous attendance days;
    4. Early releases; and
    5. Any other changes that are required regarding student attendance.
17. Type daily attendance bulletin and distribute or post for staff.
18. Call in daily enrollment and attendance numbers through ADM count week.
19. Maintain record of students on Home Instruction, JJC, etc.
20. Verify pupil attendance for staff, parents and various agencies, Family Services, Social Security, etc.
21. Record telephone calls from parents regarding attendance.
22. Assist Principals, School Community Liaisons and appropriate personnel in recognizing known truant students.
23. Input all suspension and any other discipline related issues into the proper computer program.
24. Distribute and mail all suspensions and communications home to families as directed.
25. Type requests for expulsion and pre-expulsion as needed (including copying discipline information, record card and attendance for each student.)  Notify Principal of date and time of each hearing.
26. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
27. Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by Superintendent/CEO, Building Principal and/or designated supervisor.

SALARY:  Salary Table E, Pay Range IV, Salary per negotiated union contract. 

CONTRACT:  214 Days (42 Weeks); 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

DUTIES:
1. Create, fabricate, implement/facilitate Parent and Family Education and related activities as required by Title I, ESSA Section 1116 for PreK-12 and summer school students.
2. Work collaboratively to integrate Title I Parent and Family Education programming and support the planning and implementation of parent and family engagement initiatives within the district.
3. Assist the district to develop a family friendly school climate in cooperation with families, teachers, administrators, etc.  Participates in meetings/activities enhancing the effectiveness of relationships between home, students and schools.
4. Collaborates with district personnel in designing and facilitating programs and activities enhancing the effectiveness of relationships between home, students and schools. 
5. Work in collaboration with district/building curriculum support personnel to research and prepare material for various Academic Family Events including Literacy, Math, and Wellness Events.  Initiates PO’s for necessary materials.
6. Organize and maintain inventory and Title I Parent and Family Engagement program files and materials, ensuring necessary items are confidential and secure.
7. Arranges material such as books, printed material, and arranges transportation of material to school buildings. 
8. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars.
9. Prepares survey material to evaluate program effectiveness and prepares reports.
10. Responses inquires via phone call, emails, etc.
11. Responsible for maintaining calendar that documents Parent and Family Engagement work.
12. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
13. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director of State & Federal Programs, Superintendent/CEO, Associate Superintendent, Supervisor of Community Outreach/Grant Development and/or his/her designee.
 
SALARY:  Salary Table L.  Salary Range as per Board approved Salary Table.  

CONTRACT:  204 Day (39 Week); 7.0 hours per day, 35.0 hours per week.  (Additional days as assigned by Superintendent/CEO)
