A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, the Instructional Coach serves as an instructional leader and supports colleagues by conferencing, observing, evaluating, and providing substantive feedback. The Instructional Coach assists his/her teacher colleagues in the development of instructional strategies designed to improve student performance using a cognitive coaching method. Qualifications: An educational background that includes a minimum of a Master’s degree, Minnesota teaching license, and at least five years of successful teaching experience are required. The candidate hired for this position must also possess a strong instructional background and be skilled in establishing and maintaining professional working relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and manage time are required. This position requires regular in-district travel between school buildings and a valid driver's license and evidence of mobility are required.
Salary: Pursuant to the Waconia Education Association's Collective Bargaining Agreement starting at $46,146- $91,608 based upon qualifications
