Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves more than 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Position Summary: We are looking to fill multiple positions across the district. Our resource special education teachers provide targeted instruction and support to students with disabilities. They collaborate with general education teachers, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and use specialized strategies to support academic and behavioral growth. The role includes small-group or one-on-one instruction, push-in services, progress monitoring, and adapting materials to ensure student success. Applicant will be working out of our Bayview and Laketown Elementary Schools.
License Required: A Special Education License (any including SLD, ABS, ASD, or EBD) issued from the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) is required. Open to applicants with an Elementary Education License who can apply for a Special Education variance (Out of Field Permission).
Compensation: Salary and Benefits Pursuant to Waconia Education Association's Collective Bargaining Agreement starting at $41,146 to $91,608 depending on qualifications, plus an excellent benefits package that starts on your first day!
