Waconia Public Schools—ISD 110 is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Human Resources with a negotiable start date on or before July 1, 2025. Waconia Public Schools is a growing school district located in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. The district serves approximately 4,000 students from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius and New Germany. District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, an area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership for all school district personnel functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, counseling, policy administration, and employee record keeping. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the negotiation and administration of the school district’s labor and employment contracts, serves as a member of the Superintendent’s administrative team, and ensures compliance with personnel related district policy, state and federal law.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Education Administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Education Administration or related field experience required. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve school district goals.
Compensation: $140,000 and up depending upon qualifications, plus an excellent benefits package, pursuant to the
Unaffiliated Directors and Managers work agreement.
