The Wabasha-Kellogg School District is seeking a qualified School Counselor to support Falcon View Online K-12 Students, Families and Staff. Working from their home office in Minnesota, in addition to regular work days at our office in Stillwater MN, the School Counselor will coordinate and administer school counseling programs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with school administrators and staff to implement school counseling policies and procedures
Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic, career and personal/social needs
Communicate with parents, students and other teachers on a regular basis to develop and update personal learning plans and schedules
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program
Develop a general knowledge of the entire program’s K-12 curriculum
Keep student records and data up-to-date, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging all student and parent contacts
Other key responsibilities: PSEO Coordinator, 504 Support, NHS/NJHS, NCAA Advising
Requirements:
Licensed School Counselor in Minnesota
Strong technology skills (Google Suite, JMC, Imagine Learning)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
High degree of flexibility
Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
The rural district has an outstanding and supportive culture and is located within the bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley. In 2023, the community supported a $16.2 million referendum for facility improvements. Construction on the renovations will begin in the summer of 2025.
