    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

     

     

    REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     
    1. High school diploma or equivalent training

    2. Minimum experience as determined by the board

    3. Fluency in Google platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

    4. Knowledge of automated office equipment and efficient office procedures

    5. Good telephone skills and ability to communicate effectively

    6. Digital fluency is required.

    7. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status

    8. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

     

    JOB GOAL:

     

    To provide a high level of confidential administrative support to the principal, as well as carry out all administrative assistant and clerical duties necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the office and building.

     

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

     
    1. Assist the assistant principal with discipline matters, such as documenting incidents in Genesis, HIB reporting, completing SSDS forms, etc.

    2. Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence.

    3. Performs usual office routines.

    4. Types correspondence, notices and reports.

    5. Maintains a well-organized, up-to-date filing system.

    6. Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office.

    7. Assists, logs in, and directs visitors.

    8. Arranges substitute and class coverages

    9. Create and maintain preps and duties schedule and any other scheduling such as evenings back and bulletin boards

    10. Arranges meetings, prepares agendas and handles follow-up activities as necessary.

    11. Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate.

    12. Coverage/back up for other secretarial staff as needed

    13. Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned by the assistant principal.

     

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

     

    Salary and work year to be determined as mutually agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
