Position Description:
• At least 5 years of industry experience as a welding inspector required.
• Must be a AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• Conduct training related to prepare students for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) exam for adult students two evenings a week at a Tulsa Tech campus location.

Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

• 2 years’ experience using computer technologies such as the Microsoft Office suite, Facebook, Internet, downloading and sharing photographs, and general expertise in utilizing computers is required.
• 3 years’ experience working with advanced features of Excel in a professional environment—features including but not limited to: performing advanced data analysis, collaborating on workbooks with other users, and automating workbook functionality is required.
• Experience teaching adults preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot large, complex workbooks, automate repetitive tasks, engage in collaborative partnerships involving workbook data, construct complex Excel functions, and use those functions to perform rigorous analysis of extensive, complex datasets.

1. Provide individualized academic and behavioral counseling to students and referral to other agencies / resources if required, regarding issues in career/education choices, academic attendance and achievement, personal / emotional / relationship issues, special needs, financial matters which support their completion of their educational program and successful post-school activity.

• OSDE Certified Secondary Counselor; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in student counseling in a public school setting, both career guidance and personal / behavioral issues. Experience in teaching helpful. 
• CPR and First Aid training are preferred.
Shift:
Varies. Hours are September - May from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm; June – July 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Tulsa Tech is currently hiring individuals willing to work as non-regular, temporary, substitute teachers for daytime classroom assignments at various campus locations, as well as, off-site partner high schools within the District.

Essential Job Functions:
 
1. Effectively manage the classroom to create optimal learning environment, maintaining an appropriate balance of classroom discipline.
2. Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment, update lesson plans and instruct students in competency-based developmental program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to subject matter (i.e., classroom, self-paced, Blackboard interactive website, lab, clinicals, etc.) to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
3. Evaluate students on a recurrent basis to provide timely indications of student's progress toward competencies and knowledge required for successful completion of program.
4. Provide academic, personal and behavioral counseling to students to support their successful completion of program requirements. Collaborate with District administration and Student Service representatives to devise appropriate intervention measures to effect maximum student retention and program completion.
5. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by District policy and certification agencies. Process, maintain and/or monitor paperwork required for District operations (inventory purchasing, follow-up data, etc.)
6. Develop and maintain community/business contacts and participate with industry advisory committee to promote interaction among students and practitioners, assure the program curriculum remains a current reflection of job market skill requirements and to facilitate placement of students.
7. Participate in projects/assignments in support of the campus or program, as assigned, which might include activities such as: assistance with CTSO activities/competitions, attendance at school events, performing monitoring duty in assigned area, etc.
8. Continue to develop professional expertise in educational methodology and learning strategies as well as in industry-specific topics through attendance/ participation at conferences, professional development training, professional associations, periodic industry internships and industry related events.
9.
