Description:
Provides the cleaning, maintainence and repair and/or set up of the facilities and equipment necessary to support the daily operations of the District.
Essential Functions:
1. Manage mail/deliveries and pick up services (including storage/warehousing, operation of forklift, scissor, and personnel lifts) for the campus to assure services are conducted effectively and timely.
2. Provide advance set up of teaching, catering and event facilities through transfer or equipment (including operation of video equipment), furniture and supplies to facilitate the necessary classroom support for learning.
3. Perform minor repair to mechanical, electrical, facility structure, fixtures (ceiling tiles, drinking fountains, restrooms, etc.) and utility systems throughout the campus, replace burned out lights and lighting ballast in overhead fixtures to maintain operational quality of all campus facilities.
4. Perform regular cleaning and facility maintenance activities to include: cleaning and sanitizing of restroom fixtures, washbasins, drinking fountains, and hard surfaces, dusting and mopping, vacuum and spot cleaning of carpeting, cleaning of walls and high surfaces as well as restocking paper goods and soap supplies.
5. Provide immediate response cleaning for bodily fluids, leaks (sewage, rain, condensate, etc.) and general occurrence spills.
6. Perform outdoor – seasonal – maintenance activities including snow removal from walkways, roofs and/or parking lots, and lawn, tree, shrub and flower bed maintenance.
7. Exercise reasonable care and demonstrate a proper concern for protecting District property and the welfare of self and others by obeying all safety rules and practices; operate motor vehicles and other power equipment in full compliance with safety requirements, both stated rules and any unstated but generally accepted safe practices.
8. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in custodial building maintenance, lawn service, warehouse, event staff or related fields.
- Work schedule for this position is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Must have a valid Class D Drivers License.
- Must have or be able to obtain Forklift Operators Certificate.
- Bilingual is a plus

Hiring Range:
$13.79 to $15.20 per hour, plus $750 per month additional compensation monthly for salary-in-lieu of paid dependent benefit coverage. Additionally, a stipend of $.73 per hour will be assigned to the position for the lead role.
