Description:
Assist with the receiving of goods, pickup and delivery of goods, and processing of purchase orders. Utilize forklift and delivery vehicles to facilitate the movement of supplies, goods, and mail throughout the District. Function as flexible team player, work with minimal supervision and interact with customers effectively.
Essential Functions:
- Processes work order requests for receiving, shipping, sorting, and inventory; in and out of district area, as requested.
- Utilize the delivery vehicles, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move supplies and materials throughout the District as needed.
- Complete deliveries and pick-ups for shipping and receiving purposes for district, school affiliates, customers and vendors.
- Pickup, sort and deliver district mail and parcels.
- Receive packages and process purchase orders in accordance with district purchasing and receiving protocols software.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment in the district warehouse facility including the warehouse equipment, vehicles, consumable and various stock items.
- Communicate with the various programs and departments in district as needed and give directions as to procedures for all warehousing functions.
- Answer telephone, check and respond to emails, resolve matters in a customer-oriented manner.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or supply business environment and at least a moderate knowledge of US Postal Service rules and regulations; some experience in pick-up and delivery of goods and familiarity with mailroom processes would be helpful.
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Class D Driver's License
- Must have or, be willing to obtain Forklift Operators License
- Bilingual is a plus

Hiring Range:
$28,695 to $31,619 annually dependent on experience, plus additional $9,000 compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
