    SALARY RANGE:  $59,786 - $102,069
    CALENDAR:  181 days at 7 hours a day
    FTE: 1.0

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Certification

     
    • Qualified for Colorado School Psychologist Certification upon completion of Internship
    Education
    • Document of education to support certification, including Master’s Degree
    Experience
    • Any related prior experience preferred
    Language
    • Bilingual Spanish preferred
    SUMMARY
    The Telluride R-1 School District is seeking a full-time School Psychologist Intern for the 2024-25 school year. Our Intern will be supervised by an experienced retired School Psychologist.  Under the supervision of their supervisor, the School Psychologist Intern will administer assessments and interpret results of psycho educational assessments, and work with district MTSS, special education, and behavioral health teams to support students at all grade levels PreK-12.  Support and professional development will be available through the district, the Uncompahgre BOCES, and their supervising School Psychologist.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Effective Instruction
    1. Demonstrate knowledge in the use of intelligence tests, personality assessments, and behavior assessment/consultation.
    2. Provide diagnostic evaluations to determine learning/emotional/behavioral needs of students.
    3. Provide direct services to students through individual, small group, total class, and family contacts.
    4. Provide consultative services to staff and parents regarding social, emotional, behavioral and educational needs.
    5. Provide preventative mental health education
    6. Serve as resource in crisis intervention
    Management of Learning Environment
    1. Provide program development and evaluation for a variety of students and programs within the district.
    2. Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
    3. Assist in the development of Individual Education Plans
    4. Cooperatively facilitate in IEPs Staffing and related staffing
     Interpersonal Skills
    1. Communicate assessment results clearly and effectively.
    2. Facilitate clear communication among students, parents, teachers, counselors and building administration.
    3. Display positive collegial relationships.
     Professional Skills
    1. Provide staff development through individual consultation and in services.
    2. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of professional ethics regarding assessment by the American Psychological Association and/or National Association of School Psychologists.
    3. Display professional preparation, growth, and development.
    4. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding the student(s) within the educational team working directly with the student(s).
     Additional Requirements:
    1. Ability to sit/stand/kneel in order to be at student level while performing duties.
    2. Be involved with Child Find Screening.
     

     Perform other duties as assigned

    Standard School environment; work closely with students and staff.  General good physical condition necessary to perform the duties of the job.
