    Duty Days Per Year:  171 (school year schedule)

    Hours Per Day:  5.5 (8:30 am to 2:00 pm)

    Type of Position:   Cashier

    Salary: (A13) according to the Nutrition Services Work Agreement 

    Immediate Supervisor of Position:  Kitchen Manager

    Qualifications:  Previous school food-service cashier experience preferred;  High school diploma or equivalent required by end of probationary period.
     

    Summary of Job Duties:

    Job duties include,  but are not limited to:

     
    • Operate POS unit during meal service: breakfast, lunch, a' la carte; & work Open House event(s) as needed.
    • Troubleshoot POS/connectivity problems as they arise.
    • Recognize reimbursable meal in accordance with regulations; assist students as needed.
    • Clean, replenish & tear down of self-serve areas & assist with kitchen clean up as needed
    • Food preparation or food serving as needed;  monitor,clean and replenish condiment areas, salad bars and milk coolers as directed.
    • Maintain student accounts, and prepare daily, monthly, & annual cashier reports/deposit of funds,  kindergarten/special milk tally sheets, and ship-out meal count records and catering counts for billing purposes.  
    • Perform low balance calling to parents, as needed
    • Excellent student service - treating students with respect and welcome helping students with PIN number issues, badge issues or account issues. 
    • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:  monitoring students in lunchroom/dining areas, milk cooler restocking, cleaning, dish room, storeroom, inventory, helping monitor food waste and recycling areas, share table, making badges as needed, and helping students as needed in the lunch line or lunchroom/dining areas.
