SALARY INFORMATION:
Full time position, working a 185 day school year. Anticipated start date on or about August 14, 2024 This is a term-limited three-year grant funded position. August 2024-June 2027 Candidates will need to have or be able to secure by August 1 the Colorado Dept of Education, Teacher licnese with K-12 health endorsement or Special Services Providers license, with appropiate endorsement and or DORA license Salary based on a maximum of 8 years of experience, verified full time counseling (not substitute) experience and education. $53,500.00 - $78,058.00 (PhD/EDD) Salary Schedule Link
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policy development and implementation: Coordinate adoption of a comprehensive and evidence-based district tobacco/nicotine prevention policies that include with a tiered approach that focuses on non-punitive consequences and builds authentic connections and support between students and their trusted adults (school leaders, family and community)
Coordinate the implemention of an evidence-based prevention education program in elementary, middle and high school classrooms that is aligned with health standards, is culturally responsive, incorporates youth voice and engages families.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond professionally to questions from groups of parents, community members, commissions, colleagues and Board of Education.
Mathematical Skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, discounts, commissions, proportions, percentage, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract concrete variables. Ability to analyze and use data to supervise the delivery of instruction and the school improvement process.
Technology Skills: Proficient use of technology which includes: basic operations and concepts, word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage, critical evaluation of information, data analysis, email, integration of technology.
