  St. Catherine of Siena School is seeking a 5^th grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Located in the beautiful Maple Leaf community of north Seattle, our school serves 270 students in preschool through 8^th grade. We offer a competitive salary and a welcoming, inclusive environment. Other Qualifications Include:
• Active Catholic
• Successful experience teaching intermediate students in a general classroom setting
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of student abilities and needs
• A Bachelor’s degree or greater, with a current Washington state teaching certification
• Proficient technology skills, including use of Google classroom and applications, interactive projectors or whiteboards, and general instructional technology 
Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Provides daily instruction in core content areas, including religion, math, literacy, social studies, and science 
• Plans lessons and units that engage student learners through a variety of instructional methods 
• Uses formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and monitor students’ progress
• Ensures curriculum, materials, and instructional practices are aligned with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards
• Regularly integrates technology in lessons to support student learning 
• Provides regular feedback to parents regarding student progress
• Assures the creation and maintenance of a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages students to think critically
• Collaborates with fellow teachers and staff in the implementation of instructional programs and activities that promotes the Catholic identity and goals of the school
• Regularly pursues professional development opportunities and maintains a growth mindset
Salary: $63,547 - $109,853. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
