Job Title: Middle School Cheer Coach (Fall Season)
Reports To: Activity Director and School Administration
Job Summary: The Middle School Cheer Coach will lead the 7th and 8th grade cheerleading teams for the fall sports season, including but not limited to the middle school football season. The coach will provide instruction, motivation, and support to develop students' cheerleading skills, promote school spirit, and ensure a positive and safe environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead practices, focusing on cheer routines, stunts, and safety techniques.
Develop and implement game-day cheerleading performances and sideline cheers.
Supervise cheerleaders during practices, games, and events, ensuring safety and discipline.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes among student-athletes.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and volunteers to coordinate events and logistics.
Maintain open and effective communication with students and parents.
Uphold school policies and ensure adherence to safety guidelines during all activities.
Qualifications:
Experience in cheerleading as a coach, instructor, or participant (preferred).
Knowledge of cheer techniques, safety protocols, and team management.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
Availability for practices, games, and additional events as needed.
