Welcome to the Milton School District's Hiring Portal!
The Milton School District is a close-knit, student-centered K-12 district located in the heart of Strafford County, New Hampshire. Serving approximately 500 students across two schools, Milton Elementary School and Nute Middle High School & Library, the district prides itself on fostering a strong sense of community, where staff members build meaningful connections with students to support their academic and personal growth.
At the core of the district’s mission is a commitment to personalizing education for every student. With small class sizes and dedicated educators, the district tailor’s instruction to meet individual student needs, ensuring that each child is challenged, supported, and engaged in their learning. From differentiated instruction in the classroom to targeted intervention and enrichment programs, the district works to maximize student success at every level.
Guided by our mission, the Milton School District is dedicated to enhancing student learning and promoting College and Career Readiness by actively engaging students, families, and the community. With a steadfast commitment to relationships, rigor, and relevance, we strive to prepare each student for success in both their academic journey and future careers. By fostering strong partnerships with families and the broader community, we ensure that our students graduate with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
The district’s small size also creates unique opportunities for students to thrive beyond the classroom. Whether in athletics, the arts, robotics, or student leadership, Milton students are encouraged to explore their interests and participate in the district’s vibrant extracurricular offerings. This accessibility allows students to take on leadership roles, develop diverse skills, and build strong relationships within the school community.
Situated in the town of Milton, which includes the villages of Milton and Milton Mills, the district benefits from a compact and accessible campus, with both schools located adjacent to each other. Milton itself is a historic town, incorporated in 1802, and spans 27,000 acres with a population of around 4,000 residents. Positioned just forty miles from the state capital of Concord and twenty miles from the county seat in Dover, Milton offers the perfect blend of small-town charm and accessibility.
Beyond academics, the district is deeply connected to the natural beauty of the region. Milton Three Ponds, a chain of scenic lakes, provides a recreational hub for the community with a public beach and boat launch. With its four-season appeal and proximity to the White Mountains, as well as the cities of Boston and Portland, Milton is a vibrant town that values both education and quality of life. Though small, the Milton School District has a big heart, committed to maximizing the potential of both its students and staff.
