Job Title: Interventionist
Contract Days: 190 days
The Interventionist is directly supervised and evaluated by the Building Principal.
Qualifications of Employment:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the subject area
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Resilience and a positive attitude.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to apply instructional strategies on differentiation
Strong organizational skills
Increasing levels of targeted support for those who are struggling
Integrated plans that address students’ academic, behavioral, social and emotional needs
Knowledge of evidence based strategies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups
Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level
Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual student needs
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during intervention
Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress
Collaborates and communicates to create the schedule for student services
Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed
Other duties as assigned.
