    Position Summary:

     

    Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students across Autumn Creek Elementary School and the Yorkville Early Childhood Center during the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position offering the opportunity to work with both early learners and elementary-aged students in a supportive, collaborative, and student-centered environment.

     

    The selected candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services, supporting students with identified needs as well as contributing to broader communication development initiatives across both school populations.

               Key Responsibilities:

     
    • Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students in accordance with IEP goals.

    • Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education programs (IEPs), and participate in eligibility and review meetings.

    • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom environment.

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

    • Support communication development in the general education population, when needed.

    • Participate in ongoing professional development and district initiatives.

       

      Qualifications / Skills:

    • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

    • Experience in a school-based setting is preferred.

    • Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply, though this is not a requirement.

     


                 Compensation & Benefits:

     
    • Starting salary is $60,386 MS+0  on the extended salary matrix

    • This position is covered under the Yorkville Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement (2022–2026), which includes a regionally competitive salary and benefits package.
