QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid and Current Michigan Teacher Certificate required with grade 6-12 certification
• Science (DI) or (DX) endorsement required, other combination of endorsements may be considered
• Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to listen and to give directions and instructions
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO:                        Principal and Teacher
 
JOB GOAL:                            Work closely with students to provide positive behavioral, emotional, and instructional support so students may progress toward goals.
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
                       
1. Demonstrate appropriate school and work behaviors.
2. Assists ancillary and certified staff in planning, delivery, and evaluation of services and instruction.
3. Contributes in the development of IFSP and IEP for students.
4. Contribute to management and modification of student positive behavior plan.
5. Performs specialized instructional, healthcare, therapeutic and self help activities.
6. Keep accurate records as required.
7. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist student growth.
8. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the teacher and principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Student Days Only
                                                            Full Day –  Monday - Friday (7.50 hrs.)
