CASHIER/SERVER (0.25 FTE)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To maintain schools and other facilities so students and employees can work in a healthy and safe environment.
To work collaboratively with department and building administration.
To foster an inclusive work environment, maintaining high morale.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Excellent attendance record.
Fluent written and verbal English and Arabic are preferred.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to learn POS Systems as a cashier
Ability to create and count currency change back
Ability to balance the cash drawer at the end of the day
Supervises students in the cafeteria during lunch periods in the serving line, while eating, and during cafeteria dismissal
Maintains discipline in the cafeteria according to school policies
Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as reasonably possible
Assists students in securing trays, food, seating, and dismissal
Assists cafeteria staff in cleaning up spills, accidents, etc.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
Complies with and supports school and department regulations and policies
Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities
Communicates effectively and efficiently with the cafeteria staff to assist students with their needs.
Monitor the children during recess, as students must be supervised at all times
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor

Performs occasional lifting and carrying objects up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work involves medium-heavy lifting of boxes, reaching, pushing, pulling, stooping, climbing, maneuvering in confined spaces, and prolonged standing and walking; it also involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and smells commonly associated with cooking, cleaning, and school in general.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects and tools, and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee frequently must squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person.
