Job Summary:
The Littlefield ISD is seeking a highly skilled, organized, and dedicated Head of Maintenance to oversee and coordinate the maintenance operations for the district’s facilities. The Head of Maintenance will manage a team responsible for a wide range of functions, including transportation needs, HVAC systems, plumbing maintenance, and grounds supervision. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of all district facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
District Transportation Needs:
Coordinate and manage the district’s fleet of vehicles to ensure timely, safe, and efficient transportation for students and staff.
Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation safety and operations.
HVAC Maintenance:
Complete routine maintenance, repair, and servicing of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within district facilities.
Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently, ensuring comfort and safety for all building occupants.
Oversee emergency repairs and system upgrades as needed.
Ensure compliance with local and state regulations regarding indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
Plumbing Maintenance:
Complete the maintenance, repair, and inspection of plumbing systems across all district facilities.
Ensure all water systems, including piping, fixtures, and drainage, are fully operational and compliant with health and safety standards.
Coordinate with outside contractors for larger-scale plumbing projects and emergency repairs.
Develop preventative maintenance schedules for plumbing systems.
Grounds Supervision:
Manage the upkeep of district grounds, including landscaping, irrigation, and overall site cleanliness.
Supervise and support groundskeeping staff to ensure all outdoor areas are well-maintained and safe.
Ensure proper maintenance of sports fields, playgrounds, parking lots, and other outdoor facilities.
Collaborate with the facilities management team on seasonal needs such as snow removal and lawn care.
General Supervision & Leadership:
Supervise maintenance and transportation staff and coordinate daily activities across all areas of responsibility.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and protocols.
Prepare and manage the department's annual budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff performance.
Communicate effectively with district leadership, staff, and outside contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
Strong understanding of school district transportation needs and fleet management.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and handle complex operational tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

LIttlefield ISD is looking to hire a dynamic individual that is a strong leader with the following qualifications, with the expection of student success.
Major Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise all school band performances, including marching band, concert band, jazz band, soloists, small ensembles, etc.
Supervise and support Jr High band director for an aligned program.
Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in band.

Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
Head band director required to grow the band program through recruitment of current and future students.
Apply and enforce student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Student Handbook.
Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
Develop and implement plans for improvement and growth of band program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; valid Texas teacher certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned.
