Reading Specialists (3) - Positions to begin August 27, 2025
Hubbard, Tisdale, and Dater will each have a specialist position to enhance students’ literacy skills through targeted instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies, ultimately fostering confident and proficient readers and writers. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting professional learning for teachers and administrators, communicating with families about students’ reading progress and strategies for supporting literacy at home, coordinating 1:1 and small group instruction to address specific reading challenges, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate literacy programs and initiatives, and contributing to the collection of data within the state requirements for MTSS.
Requirement(s):
NJ Elementary Certification with Teacher of Students with Disabilities Endorsement required. NJ Reading Specialist Certification and Multi-Sensory (e.g., Orton-Gillingham) training preferred.
