    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    Facilitate the development and implementation of the Collegiate Academy, including the recruitment and retention of Collegiate Academy students; serve as liaison with the college access partner; and facilitate systems and processes for the Collegiate Academy.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Master’s Degree
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate
    Experience:
    • At least one year of related experience, leadership experience, and/or professional development experience
    • Dual credit/collegiate classroom or leadership experience (preferred)
    • Demonstrated strategic and operational planning skills
    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
    • A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Collegiate Academy design and dual credit programs 
    • Ability to develop and coach student and adult learners
    • Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
    • Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
    • Monitor and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and program evaluation.
    • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms to support program design, communication, and collaboration.
    • Demonstrate excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrate administrative ability to manage staff and resources
    • Demonstrated exemplary skills in presentation, designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects/programs in accordance with specified guidelines and policies
    • Demonstrate flexibility to cope with the challenges of competing priorities
    • Demonstrate willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession
    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    • Develop and oversee program budgets, ensuring the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Collaborate with campus and district leadership, as well as college access partners, to plan, coordinate, and deliver professional development sessions
    • Support the execution of professional development initiatives for faculty and staff
    • Participate in campus visits to support the implementation of instructional programs, services, resources, and tools
    • Work with campus leadership to identify career pathways, programs, instructional activities, and effective teaching practices that enhance student academic achievement
    • Manage and maintain partnerships with college access partners and campus relationships
    • Assist with contract-related processes, including monitoring compliance and implementation when necessary
    • Provide mentorship to campus staff by building their skills, managing workflows, and supporting task completion
    • Review and assess program outputs, offering recommendations and adjustments to align with departmental standards for curriculum and professional development
    • Create project plans, assign tasks, and oversee progress to meet departmental objectives
    • Collaborate with administration to advance and manage program initiatives
    • Represent the program at stakeholder meetings as directed by administration.
    • Stay updated on legislative changes and district initiatives
    • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at the designated worksite

    • Develop long-range and short-range plans for a complete retention program for the Collegiate Academy students based on the needs and expectations of the populations to be served
    • Collaborate with campus administration on program management planning
    Professional Growth and Development
    • Perform continuous needs assessments to identify specific staff development requirements.
    • Plan and facilitate professional learning opportunities for the Collegiate Academy, including onsite training, site visits to other collegiate academy schools, and the dissemination of relevant updates related to the Collegiate Academy, college partners, and CCMR initiatives.
    • Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible and serve as a role model for all district staff
    • Disseminate ideas and information to other professionals; provide leadership in addressing the challenges facing the profession
    • Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from supervisor
    • Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor
    • Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor
    School/Community Relations
    • Collaborate with college access partners, schools, and the community to coordinate resources and support for students
    • Act as the liaison between college access partners and the Collegiate Academy
    • Hold monthly meetings with the college access partner to review the Collegiate Academy program and evaluate program progress
    • Provide regular updates and information to parents, students, and the community throughout the year
    • Deliver presentations to students, parents, and other audiences to promote the Collegiate Academy and oversee middle school marketing and recruitment efforts
    • Effectively communicate district programs and needs to parents and the community, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
    • Refer parents to appropriate community resources as needed
    • Stay informed about community resources, referrals, and available assistance for students and families
    • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor in interactions with students, parents, and staff.
    • Facilitate effective communication through various channels, including the Collegiate Academy website and newsletter.
    Other
    • Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from supervisors
    • Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor
    • Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
    Occasional district travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours; frequent standing and sitting; prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
