ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION DESCRIPTION
Evaluation: Administrative
SUMMARY: The Exceptional (Special) Education Supervisor assists the Director in coordination of the District's exceptional (special) education program to ensure the provision of needed services for students with disabilities. The supervisor also provides individualized education programs to meet the needs of all students with disabilities and ensures compliance with all state, federal and local requirements while providing consultation to staff, students, and parents. It is the direct responsibility of this position to aggressively defend and further the doctrine of least restrictive environment and inclusion for each individual building(s) of supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Observe and adhere to all Board of Education policies and regulations, and all administrative rules and procedures.
Keep abreast of federal and state laws and regulations governing the education of individuals with disabilities (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act and Indiana Article VII).
Communicate program initiatives and objectives to the Administration, Staff and Community.
Ensuring appropriate delivery of both special education instruction and related services as stipulated in IEPs.
Coordinates special transportation as a related service as stipulated in IEPs.
Ensuring the services provided are of high quality, provided in the LRE and are aligned with students’ IEPs.
Assist in the development of appropriate individualized education programs that are compliant with state and federal special education regulations and local standards.
Provide instructional leadership including curriculum and personnel development utilizing best practices.
Provide regular consultation to building administrators regarding special education and related regulations.
Regularly assess assigned certified and non-certified staff performance (through SFS) and recommend/communicate needs of
improvement when and where appropriate.
Provide regular technical assistance to certified and non-certified staff.
Foster active involvement in at least one special education professional organization. (ICASE, CEC, Case, etc.).
Carefully monitor expenditures of programs under the direct supervision of the Director and recommend necessary supplies and equipment within the confines of the annual budget.
Closely adhere to the collective Bargaining Agreements of appropriate work groups.
Facilitate transition services to the next level.
Assist the Director of Exceptional Education in the Supervision of staff of the Exceptional Education Division.
Assist in supervision of Medicaid coordinating with Go Solutions, monitoring monthly provider entries, answering Medicaid
related questions from staff, providing updates to staff, and arranging for training of new staff.
Participate in weekly Ex. Ed. staff meetings, monthly Ex. Ed. Parent Forum meetings, annual regional meetings, regular multidisciplinary (OT, Speech, PT, Psychologist, EA, Division Office Staff and Resource Teacher) meetings.
Participate in the interview process for certified and non-certified staff.
Participate in the annual P-H-M Job Fair.
Complete regular walkthroughs to assigned buildings and provide the Director of Exceptional Education with strengths and weaknesses of each school Ex Ed program and services.
Develop and promote effective personnel and administrative relations.
Participation in Professional Development opportunities offered by the district as well as coordinate, develop, and assist in implementing Ex. Ed. PD for the district.
Review and analyze state and district wide assessment data and conduct meetings with each assigned building during the school year.
Effectively communicate with parents and special education process including a process for referrals, evaluations, annual IEPs/and re-evaluations as well as parental rights granted by Article VII and IDEA.
Facilitating IEP meetings using a strengths-based and family-centered approach.
Coordinate with students to ensure all documents are completed in a timely manner (according to state, local, policies and
connect with participants prior to meetings as needed.
Maintain student files (paper and electronic) according to school, State and Federal standards.
Provide training and technical assistance to teachers, related service providers and support service professionals on all aspects
of case management: use of computer systems for the special education process, writing of goal writing, progress reports,
annual case reviews, and parent communication.
Ensure IEPs are developmentally appropriate, curriculum/standards-based, strength-based, and relevant to individual students
As part of the Ex Ed Administrative Team, the Supervisor will when necessary, will participate in parent conferences,
classroom observations, consultations with local agencies, extended IEP team meetings, follow-up on individual cases,
consult with teachers and other team members assigned to the case.
Advocate for special education with school leadership.
Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the District Safety Plan
Work closely with transportation to solve transportation issues.
Carry out other assignments/duties as directed by the Director of Exceptional Education.
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum - Master’s degree in some area of Special Education.
Minimum - Three to five years teaching or therapist (Speech, OT, PT, Psych.) experience in special education preferred.
Valid Indiana Teaching, Therapist, Psychologist (OT, PT, SLP, RT, Psych.) Certification.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and organization skills.

The Custodial Operations Supervisor oversees all custodial operations at Penn High School, ensuring a clean, safe, and operationally excellent environment that supports the educational process. This is a salaried position requiring flexibility and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

SUMMARY: Maintain the school buildings so that they are in a state of operational excellence, cleanliness, and safety and that there are no problems or interruptions to the educational process. Keep all assigned areas neat, clean, orderly, well stocked, and sanitary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning responsibilities duties include:
Collect/dispose of trash, and replace can liners, wipe out waste cans in classrooms, offices, and hallways daily.
Clean/ vacuum/ mop entrances and hallways in your area.
Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all high-touch areas and straighten desks and chairs.
Clean and disinfect student desks or table tops daily.
Vacuum carpeted areas and clean spills of any kind from the carpet immediately.
Dry/wet mop or scrub with machine non-carpeted areas.
Keep the doors and glass clean at all times (windows inside and outside) and mirrors.
Keep all ledges and shelves dust-free, remove cobwebs, dust flat surfaces, vertical and horizontal.
Empty pencil sharpeners daily.
Clean blackboards, whiteboards, and trays daily.
Dust televisions, computers, and monitors weekly; more often if necessary. Keep the area around and under computers dust-free.
Clean all display cases on top and underneath in your area as needed.
Keep all walls, windows, doors, cabinet fronts, and other vertical surfaces in your area clean, graffiti and dust-free.
Keep drinking fountains in your area clean and sanitized.
Remove all recycled materials and put them in the recycle container outside the building.
Periodically clean the rubber baseboard molding.
Clean and store custodial equipment properly and report any problems with it to supervisor(s) for maintenance or repair.

Restroom cleaning includes:
Clean all fixtures daily with approved disinfectant cleaner.
Sweep and mop floors daily using disinfectant cleaner.

Periodic de-liming of fixtures with approved products.
Survey and clean ceilings of foreign substances as required.
Keep paper and soap supplies filled at all times.

Remove graffiti from stall walls and report any damage immediately.

Enter the security code to disarm the building.
Punch in and out properly at the beginning and end of your shift, and anytime you leave the property during your shift.
Turn on lights according to the energy conservation program and building needs.
Set up and take down traffic cones & signs for student drop-off in the morning and in the afternoon. If applicable (in some schools, the second shift custodians pick them up in the afternoon).
Remove dirt, leaves, or snow from entrances/sidewalks and apply salt as necessary. Complete snow ice log.
Put up the flag(s).
Check the parking lot and ground for trash and/or inappropriate items or graffiti, and empty outside trash cans,

Check the school calendar or activity sheets for setups, tear-downs, etc.
If needed, set up, break down, and clean up before and after activities.
Monitor, unlock, and lock doors as necessary for events and activities.

Police restrooms replenish supplies, toilet paper, and paper towels as needed.
Assemble equipment and perform minor repairs/installations as needed.
Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs as needed.
Check all windows, doors, and lights, arm building as necessary before leaving, if applicable.
This position requires excellent attendance, punctual arrival, clean attire, and a friendly appearance.
Follow up on custodial assignments to verify areas were cleaned and prepared, compliment or provide constructive criticism to correct problems. Always follow up critique of other custodians with an email to the direct supervisor.
Re-emphasize what chemicals to use and how to properly and safely use them. Make sure chemicals are properly labeled.
Coordinate and organize summer cleaning in the building using a calendar to map it out and keep track of progress.
Perform preventative maintenance as needed and communicate building needs/problems to the Building Administrator(s), Director of Custodial Operations, Assistant Director of Custodial Operations, Director of Facilities, Associate Director of Facilities, and Supervisor(s) as necessary.
Operate, troubleshoot, and monitor the fire panel. Run fire drills and other required monthly and annual drills as directed.
Take water samples one time per week, if applicable.
Take water meter readings, sewage readings, and rain amount readings daily, if applicable.
Check the fuel level generator weekly. Fill water softener salt in the tank once a week or as necessary, and close the work order into FMX when it is completed.
Check HVAC and change filters as necessary or as directed by the Director or Assistant Director of Facilities, and close the work order in FMX when it is completed. Note in FMX if the filter should be changed more or less often.
Complete maintenance work orders into the FMX work order system and keep track to make sure work is completed.
Complete supply orders as needed utilizing the supply order form shared by supervisors.
Unload or load trucks with deliveries and for returns.
Conduct monthly playground equipment inspections on the last day of the month and complete/submit the report form online.
Complete the monthly Safe Facilities Inspection checklist and forward it to the Assistant Director of Custodial Operations by the 15th of every month.
Check fire extinguishers monthly, initial and date tags, check security lighting and exit signs monthly. Report that all three (3) monthly checks have been completed, and that you have filed paper or electronic versions of each for inspection.
Inspect the Roof monthly and close the work order in FMX when it is completed, and note any findings if necessary in FMX.
Knowledge of the boiler system. Sound normally, looks, water, warning lights.
Follow energy conservation guidelines as outlined by the Energy Education Manager for energy start-up and shut-down procedures.
Snow removal to ensure the school is ready to open: remove snow and salt, main entrance, all walkthroughs, sidewalks, and playgrounds: using a tractor, snow blower, shovel, etc.
Check during the school day and apply ice melt to sidewalks and parking lots as needed. Note on log form.
The head custodian is the first one to be called for a fire or burglar alarm, and they need to go and check the building with the fire department or police.
The head custodian is responsible for doing winter inspections as requested or finding a substitute to do it when they are unable to complete this duty.
Assist staff, patrons, parents, and community members throughout the day as needed – superior customer service and public relations are expected.
Bring in newspapers and unlock the courtyard gate, if requested.
Deliver warehouse, UPS, US Postal Service, semi-delivery, etc. to proper location daily, if requested.
Obey all federal, state, and local laws and the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation.
Participate in outside training opportunities when available to further improve personal knowledge of this position.
Follow other directives from the Building Administrator, Custodial Operations Manager, Facilities Director, Associate Facilities Director, or Facilities Supervisor(s) that fall within the duties of custodian and that serve to improve services to the students and patrons of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation.
Communicate and coordinate with second-shift custodians to ensure the building is in a state of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety so that it presents no problems or interruptions to the educational program.

Deliver prepared foods, commodities, bulk food and supplies from the base kitchen to designated satellite schools. Pick up return items from satellite schools and deliver to base kitchen. Perform routine preventive maintenance and custodial tasks to ensure proper equipment function and appropriate sanitation levels. Properly label and store food and supply items delivered by vendors or returned from base kitchen or satellite units. Be available on an on-call, as needed basis daily.

SUMMARY: Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Low-Voltage Master Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of security and life safety systems across the district. This position will be responsible for managing door access controls and hardware, security cameras, security panels, and fire alarm systems, including the associated wiring, networking, and programming necessary to support these critical systems.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain door access control systems, security cameras, security panels, and fire alarm systems throughout the district.
Perform wiring, networking, and programming required to support all security and life safety systems.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding security and fire safety systems.
Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on security and fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
Respond to system malfunctions and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
Work closely with the IT department, facilities team, and school administrators to ensure seamless integration and functionality of security systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, system configurations, and upgrades.
Provide training and technical support to district staff regarding the proper use of security and access control systems.
Assist with evaluating new technologies and system enhancements to improve security infrastructure.
Collaborate with facilities, maintenance, safety & security, and technology personnel to perform critical job functions.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, low-voltage systems, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with low-voltage systems, access control, security cameras, and fire alarm systems.
Strong knowledge of networking principles, system programming, and troubleshooting.
Experience with door access control systems, security camera systems (CCTV/IP), fire alarms, and security panels.
Understanding of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other applicable regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor areas.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel between school locations as needed.
Ability to pass a background check as required by the school district.
Certifications such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies), OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer-specific training for security and fire systems.
Experience working in a school or educational facility setting.
Familiarity with software-based access control and security management platforms.
Coordinate with facilities and safety Leadership contractors to perform functions beyond the scope of this position.
Assess building systems to plan proactive work assignments and project schedules.
Develops maintenance procedures and schedules in FMX Software.
Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Works with facilities personnel on proper operation of all systems and equipment.
Monitor and ensure the proper operation of the safety systems.
Assist with and respond to emergency calls.
Follow other directives from the Director of Facilities and Director of Safety and Security to improve services to the students and patrons of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, low-voltage systems, or a related field (preferred).
Certifications:

Experience:
Minimum: 2 years of experience working with low-voltage systems, access control, security cameras, and fire alarm systems.

Summary: Provide service to students, teachers, support staff, parents, and visitors who approach office front desk/counter.
Greet and assist visitors.
Answer telephones and respond to or direct calls
Perform general clerical tasks (i.e. typing, filing, mail sorting and distributing, duplicating).
Record basic data entry of attendance, discipline, registration, supply, and/or athletic and student activities information.
Operate equipment in classroom, workroom, or office.
Provide assistance with ill or injured students.

Reports to: Building Principal & Assigned Safety Agent
Summary: Assist with the general safety and security of the school and campus. Work closely with the Safety Agent, Administration, and School Resource Officer to monitor and maintain safe and security practices.
Preventing Criminal Activity: Maintain a high visibility presence with students and patrons to deter criminal activities and provide a sense of security.
Student Monitoring: observe hallways, academic, and non-academic spaces to ensure safety and compliance with school policies.
Vandalism Prevention: Regularly check restrooms, facilities, and grounds for signs of vandalism and take appropriate action to prevent further damage.
Safety Monitoring: Respond to suspicious, dangerous, or unwanted activity and report incident(s) to the security office, Safety Agent, and/or Administration.
Incident Documentation: Promptly document, report, and communicate incidents and safety hazards with the administration promptly.
Emergency Assistance: Assist the administration with response to safety alarms, drills, and incidents as needed, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
Customer Service: Provide positive and professional customer service to all patrons and students, fostering a welcoming and safe environment.
Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding building security, personnel, records, and documents to protect the integrity of the school.
Student Interaction: Approach and interact with students or patrons who are disruptive, unsupervised, or in areas not designated as public spaces to ensure safety and compliance.
Traffic & Pedestrian Assistance: Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and general exterior activities. Such as, but not limited to:
Monitoring campus traffic
Placing cones in parking lots or drives
Providing indoor or outdoor supervision
Directing traffic
Serving as a crossing guard
Reviewing student parking practices & issuing tickets as necessary
Assisting with bus arrival and departure

Routine Patrols: Conduct routine patrols to maintain a secure environment.
Exterior Door Security: Check and ensure all exterior doors of the school are secured and unobstructed throughout the school day.

Reporting: Work cooperatively with staff to report problematic students to the administration.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES PERSONNEL POSITION DESCRIPTION

Summary: Building Technician serves as a team member under the direction of the School Principal. Main duties will include hardware/software support, troubleshooting issues concerning hardware/software and maintaining a high level of customer service.
1. Provide first line troubleshooting, evaluation, and resolution of any technical problem by:
• Resolving the problem within fifteen minutes or submitting a work order describing the specifics and attempted resolution;
• Performing minor technical repairs or replacements to monitors, input devices, peripherals, computer cards, etc.;
• Assisting end users in resolving software issues, including local software re-installation or application training;
• Serving as the contact person to whom technical problems are reported and managing the building level work order process.
2. Provide basic network support by:
• Performing maintenance such as back up, set-up and maintenance of user accounts, printer configurations, and installation of networked applications;
• Updating and maintaining assigned passwords and folders.
3. Document and properly communicate instances of failure, repair, installation, and removal of hardware.
4. Task assignments are made by the Principal and Director of IT (or Director's Corporate IT designate) according to the corporation's specific needs. They may have additional input in identifying other preferred qualifications and/or appropriate duties that may exceed those described above, including:
• Installation of software ensuring legality of licensing;
• Participation in staff development activities to improve and update technical knowledge and skills and to better serve users;
