Qualifications:
    
• Must be a current employee at Paterson Public Schools
• Individuals employed as Substitutes need not apply
• Must be working under the appropriate New Jersey Content Area
• New Jersey Teaching Certification, K-12, Language Arts, Science, Mathematics or HQT, TOSD, TOH, ESL, Bilingual
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Model a growth mindset about new teaching and learning techniques
• Experience working with K-12 students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Must be able to work the entire length of the program
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver and respect others
• Must complete all tasks assigned for a successful program
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community
• Lead Teacher position must have a supervisor/ principal certification
• Instructional Assistant position must have at least 60 college credits

Qualifications:
 
• Hold a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Hold a valid New Jersey educational service certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A 18A:27.1 et seq., and NJAC Title 6 Chapter 11 with a Speech Language Specialist endorsement (N.J.A.C 6:11-11.9) and other appropriate endorsement(s) in accordance with the requirements of N.J.A.C 6:11-10.1 et seq.
• Minimum of five years of excellent teaching experience
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Demonstrate the ability to assess, treat, and provide strategies for the prevention and remediation of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Speech-Language pathology, child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, research related to learning, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
• Demonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Team and special education assessment and program requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community.
• Ability to interpret and assist classroom teachers with the analysis of data.
