Park Rapids School District Century Elementary is seeking an School Readiness teacher beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Current MN licensure in Early Childhood Education Birth to Grade 3 or K-6 Elementary Education with a PreK endorsement preferred or the ability to obtain.  Candidates should have the ability to work as a team in planning and teaching to create a positive learning environment, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teachers at Park Rapids Area Schools are supported through staff development and a teacher mentoring program. We believe in supporting teacher growth and program success. 

This position is a .4 FTE, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am -  11:30 am.

Park Rapids Century School is seeking Special Education teachers for grades PreK-8, preferred license in ECSE, LD EBD, ABS, or ASD,  for the 2024-2025 Extended School Year.

ESY runs June, 2nd through 18th, 2025, Monday through Thursday 8am to noon.
                August, 4th through 14th, 2025, Monday through Thursday 8am to noon.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:                CUSTODIAL ENGINEER

Pay: $18.56/hour Step 0
Pay Incentive for Boiler's certification

POSITION PURPOSE:         To maintain buildings and grounds in a manner which provides a safe, attractive, clean place for students to learn.
 
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:  2 Year Vocational Training in facility maintenance.  Minimum of 5 Years of facility maintenance experience required.
LICENSE NEEDS:  Class “1C” 1st Class, C.P.O. (Century School)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, painting, electrical diagnosis, plumbing and cleaning methods.  Stand 90% of the day, lift 70 pounds unassisted, use stairways routinely.  Operation of boilers requires a Chief’s C licensure that is obtained by 5 years working experience and examination of knowledge, operation and maintenance through each skill level.
 
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:   Building and Grounds Supervisor
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   None
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                   
1)      Directs operation of heating plant and related distribution systems and maintains related records
2)      Monitor boiler pressures and daily temperatures                  
3)      Maintain and clean boiler at regular intervals
4)      Coordinate and test all integral parts of boiler to maintain and interpret safe levels of operation on a scheduled basis
5)      Monitor the electronics of the chillers and air conditioning systems.  Evaluate the results of the computer checks
6)      Maintain, clean and coordinate testing of total air conditioning system on a regularly scheduled basis
7)      Operate, maintain, clean and repair air handling system on a regularly scheduled basis and maintain all related records
8)      Monitor building and premises for maintenance and safety needs
9)      Communicates repair/safety needs to building principal
10)    Perform emergency repairs and cleaning as needed
11)    Consult with outside vendors to obtain best pricing for supplies
12)    Maintain inventory of supplies, determine materials needed for operations and safety needs
13)    Maintain, Clean and keep unobstructed entryways, hallways, and sidewalks during shifts.
14)    Maintain confidentiality of all district records as required
15)    Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
