    Job Summary:

     

    We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our coaching staff as an Head Varsity Football Coach. The ideal candidate will excel in the development and execution of the football program, helping players improve their skills, fitness, and game knowledge while ensuring they are contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.

     

    Responsibilities:

     
    • Plan and implement practices, game strategies, and drills.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to student-athletes to help improve individual and team performance.
    • Monitor players’ progress and provide feedback for skill development.
    • Organize game day activities, including pre-game preparation and post-game analysis.
    • Help with recruitment and development of players at various skill levels.
    • Ensure the health and safety of all players by adhering to safety guidelines and injury protocols.
    • Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic directors, and other school personnel to enhance the overall athletic program.
    • Support players’ academic and personal growth in addition to athletic development.
     

    Qualifications:

     
    • Previous experience coaching football at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
    • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
    • Must pass a background check and adhere to all school district policies.
    • Must meet all coaching requirements set by the NSAA and Ogallala School District.
    • Teaching certificate (preferred, but not required for coaching positions).
    Commitment:
    • The position requires evening and weekend hours, as well as offseason program responsibilities.
    • A year-round commitment to building and sustaining a strong program.
