Substitute Bus Assistant
Reports To: Coordinator of Transportation
Takes Direction From: Fleet Manager
Summary: Assist bus and van drivers in providing safe transportation of school students
Salary: $15.50/hr.
Essential Functions:
- Assist young or disabled students safely on and off bus or van
- Monitors student conduct and document safety violations
- Handles, loads and secures wheelchairs, installs and secures car seats and boosters
- Handles, loads and secures any medical equipment or devices as required
- Maintains confidentiality at all times concerning student information
- Maintains professional behavior at all times with all stakeholders
- Ability to physically render aid to students in the event of an accident or emergency
- Assists drivers with housekeeping of vehicle
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED
