New Canaan High School is seeking a High School French Teacher to join our school community beginning in January 2026. All candidates must hold or be eligible for appropriate CT certification. UCONN and AP certified preferred.
We are seeking a percussion instructor with experience building world-class percussion programs to give a jumpstart to the percussion program in New Canaan Public Schools. A strong percussion program in our district will provide many benefits:

Connecticut is considered the home of rudimental drumming, a style of drumming rooted in militaristic discipline and technique that stems from the use of drummers in the military. A lively percussion program enables students to access their local heritage.
Provide specialized instruction to percussion students.
Maintain and repair the high-end percussion equipment in our schools.
Write and design show music for the Winter Percussion Ensemble.
Collaborate with the Band Directors to implement best percussion-teaching practices.

5 Maintenance Sessions
The Percussion consultant will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the percussion inventory at NCHS and Saxe MS. These instruments are expensive, sensitive, and require many different skill sets because there is such a large variety of instruments. Some tasks would be:
Tune drums regularly. Change out and replace drum heads on all concert and marching equipment. Position Summary
Saxe Middle School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the 2025-26 school year. Under the direction of the Special Education Administrator, the teacher will work collaboratively with a skilled team of professionals, including related service personnel and teaching assistants, to provide specialized instruction tailored to students with complex learning profiles, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Provide direct instruction to students requiring special education services.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Management Plans.
Prepare progress reports, year-end evaluations, and administer pre- and post-assessments as needed.
Collaborate with the team to conduct multidisciplinary evaluations as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including IEPs, data collection, and evaluation reports.
Coordinate student schedules with other staff members and administration.
Manage and oversee Teaching Assistants' responsibilities and schedules.
Foster effective communication with administration, staff, and parents/guardians to support student success.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Holds or is eligible for Connecticut State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
Experience working with students of varied abilities, including those on the Autism spectrum.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis to inform instructional decisions.
