MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Member of the district teaching staff preferred
- Experience in STUCO sponsorship preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Coordinate and supervise school student council activities.
- Act as a liaison to students and parents regarding all student council activities.
- Organize the election of student council representatives.
- Organize the election of student body officers.
- Organize and promote student and school pride activities.
- Guide the organization of student council meetings with officers and related committees.
- Organize and create activities that promote student leadership and a positive school environment.
- Monitor financial records and fund-raising efforts.
- Facilitate communication among the staff, students, and parents.
- Organize community service projects.
- Organize, promote, and supervise student social activities.
- Assist in transitioning students from middle school to a high school environment.
- Organize a rotation schedule to maintain and/or raise and lower the school building flags each day.
- Provide leadership training for student council members.
- Organize, supervise, and preview all poster-making for appropriateness.
- Ensure safety precautions are observed during all activities.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
- Be responsible for the advertisement and publicity of all activities and events related to student council.
- Organize events such as, but not limited to: reading program, blood drives, community outreach programs, etc.

TERMS: Extra Duty contract; $1,208 annual
EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 school year
