Position Title(s): Technology Mentor - Up to 11 positions (Up to 2 each at Wildwood and OHA, up to 3 at Mahtomedi Middle School, and up to 4 at Mahtomedi High School)
Dates of Assignment: As soon as practicable. This is a one-year position, and it can be renewed if both sides agree. (This is intended to be an ongoing position).
Stipend: $1,250 per person
Description: The Technology Mentor assists with various duties related to supporting the coherent integration of technology at the building level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with building Principals to identify strengths and needs utilizing data to drive technology integration at the building; help to plan and facilitate building tech committee meetings
- Support colleagues with “just-in-time” professional learning experiences to support the integration of technology tools that align with curricular goals.
- Partner with the technology department and teaching and learning department to support the implementation of technology-related initiatives, policies, and practices.
- Assist colleagues in using approved digital resources, influence approval of new technology resources, and promote innovative practices.
- Engage in early learning of Infinite Campus to proactively support colleagues in their learning and implementation of the platform.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and research-based instructional strategies.
Time Commitment: This role involves fluctuating time commitments, with increased responsibilities at specific points in the year (approximately 5-8 hours per month).
Preferred Qualifications - Teaching Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year in the building.
- Demonstrated experience integrating digital tools and resources into instruction
- Strong understanding of pedagogy, learning design, and technology-enhanced learning
- Ability to provide professional learning and support for colleagues
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
