GROUNDS MAINTENANCE - SEASONAL OPPORTUNITY
(May - August 2025)
 
Position Title: Grounds Maintenance - Seasonal (Community Education)
 
Start Date: Mid-May 2025
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 32 hours per week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and taking pride in well-maintained fields and public spaces? We’re looking for a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker to help keep our school district and city fields in top shape this summer! This role is perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work, being part of a team, and making an impact on the local community.
 
What You'll Do:
 
• Work alongside our Buildings and Grounds team to groom, maintain, and line softball and baseball fields.
• Empty field trash bins and ensure playing areas remain clean and safe.
• Assist with irrigation needs and basic field maintenance.
• Paint soccer, football, lacrosse, and foul ball lines on grass fields.
• Perform routine maintenance on small engine equipment, including oil changes and power washing.
• Help move equipment and supplies across the district as needed.
 
What We're Looking For:
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in outdoor field maintenance, landscaping, or lawn care.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.
 
Preferred Skills:
 
• Experience operating field maintenance equipment such as a Baseball/Softball Field Groomer, Gator, Toolcat/Bobcat, or Golf Cart.
• Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs safely.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with school district and city grounds staff.

JobTitle: Nutrition Services Employee - District Wide Float (Stillwater & Mahtomedi Districts)

Job Summary: To perform a variety of support responsibilities for food service operations including such things as food preparation, meal serving, clean up and cashiering, in a manner that contributes to the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen site and also the safe and timely availability/delivery of meals and/or services. This float position will follow the Mahtomedi calendar, meaning that days Mahtomedi is not in session this employee is not required to work. The float will be sent to any loction in need (Stillwater Schools, Mahtomedi Schools, and any charter schools we serve). Start times will vary with the need of the kitchen. This employee will be guaranteed 4 hr per school day but may work up to 5.75 hr per day. It is our goal to assign floats to sites with long term absences, however the site and schedule could change daily.

Hours per day:  4 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days) varies

Start date:  ASAP

Position Title(s): Technology Mentor - Up to 11 positions (Up to 2 each at Wildwood and OHA, up to 3 at Mahtomedi Middle School, and up to 4 at Mahtomedi High School)

Dates of Assignment:  As soon as practicable. This is a one-year position, and it can be renewed if both sides agree. (This is intended to be an ongoing position).

Stipend:  $1,250 per person

Description:  The Technology Mentor assists with various duties related to supporting the coherent integration of technology at the building level. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. Collaborate with building Principals to identify strengths and needs utilizing data to drive technology integration at the building; help to plan and facilitate building tech committee meetings
2. Support colleagues with “just-in-time” professional learning experiences to support the integration of technology tools that align with curricular goals.
3. Partner with the technology department and teaching and learning department to support the implementation of technology-related initiatives, policies, and practices.
4. Assist colleagues in using approved digital resources, influence approval of new technology resources, and promote innovative practices.
5. Engage in early learning of Infinite Campus to proactively support colleagues in their learning and implementation of the platform.
6. Stay current on emerging technologies and research-based instructional strategies.

Time Commitment: This role involves fluctuating time commitments, with increased responsibilities at specific points in the year (approximately 5-8 hours per month).

Preferred Qualifications
1. Teaching Experience
2. Minimum of one (1) year in the building.
3. Demonstrated experience integrating digital tools and resources into instruction
4. Strong understanding of pedagogy, learning design, and technology-enhanced learning
5. Ability to provide professional learning and support for colleagues
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills
