Salary Range: Salary and work year to be established by the Board. (Teacher Salary Scale)
Terms of Employment: 12 month; 230 days/year 49% position with flexible schedule, based on the needs of the school system, and Agriculture Center operations
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations
Minimum Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related field preferred. Experience in agricultural facility management, farm operations, or agricultural education. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and community members. Knowledge of livestock care, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events and facility needs.
Goal: The Agriculture Center Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of managing, operating, marketing, and promoting the district’s Agriculture Center. This includes facility maintenance, program coordination, budgeting, and community engagement. The coordinator will work closely with agriculture teachers, students, school administrators, and other community stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Oversees the daily operations of the Agriculture Center and supervises the building maintenance functions, including ensuring building and grounds are cleaned and maintained properly; ensures equipment assigned to the facility is properly maintained and operated
- Coordinates routine inspections and repairs to ensure a safe and functional enviornment
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to agriculture facilities
- Serve as liaison between the school system and local agriculture businesses, extension agencies, and industry partners
- Work with district and school administration to prioritize use
- Coordinate and support community events, farm days, and educational programs
- Seek partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to enhance the facility's programs and resources
- Performs related administrative and financial tasks; receives and reviews various forms, documents, and reports including rental documents, invoices, and personnel documents; prepares various reports and forms
- Assist with developing and managing the Agriculture Center's budget, including securing grants and external funding
- Prepares annual budget request for submission to the Superintendent
- Operates a computer and other software programs
- Manage purchasing inventory of equipment and other supplies
- Schedules/books/oversees all aspects of events at the facility, including all contracts and facilities use agreements based on BOE policy (including but not limited to: space to be used in rental agreement, move-in, move-out arrangements, event set up/clean up, etc.).
- Ensures the building is set up properly based on rental agreement
- Develops and implements marketing plans for the facility; promotes the facility through various outlets; answers inquiries from the public and potential users of the facility including site visits.
- Coordinates activities with other agencies and volunteers, and participates on Boards and/or committees to facilitate the effective use of resources
- Must be willing to obtain certification in safe food handling requirements
