JOB OBJECTIVE:
Auburn Career Center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional for the position of Adult Dental Instructor. Dental Assisting is a fast-paced, rewarding career with a great salary and excellent working hours. Auburn Career Center is offering a 10-week Adult Dental Assistant Program in our new Dental Assistant classroom and lab that is affordable and convenient. Our program focuses on infection control, chairside assisting, dental materials and radiology. You will be prepared to work in a field. Students will need to provide uniforms and proper footwear. Must be able to apply fundamental principles of communication, leadership, technology and management in the medical office setting. Apply the knowledge of head and neck anatomy with a focus on the oral cavity and teeth. Apply the knowledge of radiation physics, infection prevention and quality control standards. Apply the principles of dental procedures and comprehensive dental care; infection control in dentistry; and dental specialties including radiology and laboratory procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience and certification preferred
Certifications: Certified Ohio Dental Assistant (CODA); American Medical Technologist (AMT)
Be able to obtain Ohio Department of Education Adult Permit
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Demonstrate leadership and/or classroom experience
Strong communication and organizational skills needed
