Instructional Coach (Grades 7-12)
Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the Chief Academic Officer and building administration, to work with building and distrit leadership to coordinate and implement a high-quality standers-based student achievement plan. This will include support for effective teaching and student growth.
Essential Performance Responsibilities - Coach staff to support growth.
- Assist in the implementation of the district's effective instruction to include gradual release and effective lesson plans.
- Coordinate curriculum, prescriptive instructional strategies, assesments and data review.
- Lead, demonstrate, and organize teaching of best practices.
- Participate in planning and problem solving with teachers and principals.
- Facilitate vertical and horizontal articulation in which student work is analyzed and aligned with the academic content standards and benchmarks.
- Assist instructional staff in collecting and analyzing data regarding student learning and how it effects instruction.
- Coordinate on-going professional development.
- Assist in providing on-going communication and support to parents and the community to ensure students' success.
- Participate in prescribed and needs-based professional growth opportunities and maintain a working knowledge of the current research and resources relevant to the district and building goals.
Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent or CAO.

Equipment Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence and memos. Working knowledge of Colorado state standards, and other documents as provided by Colorado Department of Education.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or visitors to the district.

Qualifications Profile - Certification/License:
- Colorado State Certification as a Certified Instructor.
- Minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience with the knoedge of Best Practices in education is desirable.
- Other ocaching experiences are prefered.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
Education - Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Experience Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
