3. Completed a minimum of 48 post secondary credits in ANY content area, or
4. Completed associate degree or higher in ANY content area, and
5. Willing to complete 20 hours of staff development each school year
          AND
   As required by the PA Department of Education: Each school year, provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development activities related to position. Pro-ration will apply based on date of hire within the school year.

This position will also provide additional support to HCA staff based on program needs as determined by the Supervisor of Health Care Assistants.  The Lead Nurse will coordinate daily nursing coverage and may provide services throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties on behalf of nurses who are absent.  Other duties include providing staff feedback and completion of HCA evaluations to be reviewed by the program supervisor.  The Lead Nurse will be responsible for accessing timely information regarding program nursing questions and provide training to ensure quality services.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education Required:               
Bachelor’s Degree
 
Certification Required:           
Licensed RN, BSN or higher with current School Nurse Certificate, CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate.
 
Other Qualifications:              
• Willingness to work as part of an educational team and to become familiar with the unique student needs and rights and regulations governing special education placement.
• Willingness to provide a safe environment for the students we serve and the ability to adapt to unexpected, changing situations.
• Valid State driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Proficient technology skills

Status: Part-time
Schedule: Two full days, 8:15-3:45, one half day AM, 8:15-12 pm. Specific work days to be finalized upon hire.
Minimum Annual Salary: $33,936.00

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
 
The Speech/Language Therapist is responsible for assessing those students referred for service, determining severity of speech/language remediation needs and designing an appropriate program for them.  They are also responsible for developing an appropriate schedule for therapy in each assigned school to make maximum use of time.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education Required:                Bachelor’s Degree in Speech/Language, Master’s level preferred
 
Certification Required:            PA Certification in Speech & Language Impaired
