Part- Time Lunchroom Supervisor/Bus Aide

LOCATION
Schrum Middle School 
 
POSITION TYPE/TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Part-time [Start to end of the students’ school year; only when students are present (unless otherwise approved)] no more than 28 hours/week
 
SUMMARY
Works with the Lunch Coordinator and Building Administration to ensure school safety requirements are met in the cafeteria and playground areas.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Applies knowledge of school and cafeteria policy rules and procedures to maintain order
• Effectively monitors student conduct while in the cafeteria, reminding them to follow cafeteria procedures/rules
• Carries out disciplinary options designated by administration as warranted by student behavior
• Takes initiative to encourage students to use proper manners and clean table area upon leaving 
• Takes initiative to prevent disputes/problems from occurring
• Actively monitors students while in assigned areas
• Maintains safety standards while in the cafeteria or playground
• Assumes responsibility for timely dismissal and orderly movement of groups to and from the cafeteria
• Assists in lunch room clean-up
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds
• Must be able to stand and patrol areas in adverse weather
• Must be able to work in an outdoor environment for all seasons
 
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills using tact, patience and courtesy, particularly with respect to children
3. Must have the ability to deal with dissatisfied individuals
4. Must have good attendance
 
Compenssation & Hours:
$18.39
20 Hours a Week
