MD (Multiple Disabilities) Aide (1:1) to support a special education student in a multiple-disability classroom placed out of district (Bethel)
This position involves working closely with certified staff to assist in achieving instructional goals and providing individualized student support.
Requirements:
- Must hold or obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit.
- Must pass the state's ParaPro test.
- Must be CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) trained
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students in a specialized learning environment.
- Assist with reinforcing reading, language arts, mathematics, and other core subjects.
- Work with students one-on-one and in small groups to implement learning programs.
- Support students with daily living skills, mobility, and other individualized needs.
- Assist in classroom management to maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured environment.
- Supervise students during non-instructional activities, including lunch, recess, and bus transitions.
- Accompany students on field trips to provide necessary support.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials and maintaining student records.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to foster student success.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for assisting students with disabilities.

Work Environment:
- Classroom setting within a multiple-disability program located outside the district.
- May involve assisting with academic and physical activities
- Supervision of student in both indoor and outdoor environments.
This is a non-exempt position with required travel to the designated out-of-district classroom
Limited-Term Position - Remainder of 2024-2025 School year.
