Job Responsibilities
1. Oversees overall program design, including school-age child curriculum as well as space and environment arrangements.
2. Implements program daily; evaluates and modifies as needed.
3. Maintains compliance with school-age childcare rules.
4. Institutes long-range planning for the program.
5. Monitors fiscal resources and works with the Student Activities Director and Treasures to create an annual budget.
6. Recruits personnel in conjunction with the Student Activities Director.
7. Evaluates employees of the program.
8. Maintains financial and student records as required by the State of Ohio and the school district.
9. Coordinates parental participation.
10. Communicates in a positive manner with parents and the community regarding the program.
11. Updates/edits promotional materials such as handbooks, flyers, enrollment forms, etc.
12. Coordinates training of personnel in the areas of child abuse recognition/prevention; first aid; management of communicable diseases; and behavior management.
13. Maintains proper child/staff ratios at all times.
14. Develops and implements policy regarding restroom use and outdoor supervision (Policies are subject to the approval of the Board of Education and should be based on criteria set by the State).
15. Order necessary supplies and materials for the program.
16. Post rules, and regulations as required.
17. Creates and oversees summer camp programs.
18. Deals directly with extreme behavioral issues including program suspension and expulsion.
19. Assists with the Extended Care Program as needed and time allows. 
20. Assumes any other assignments as directed.
