REQUIREMENTS:
The qualified candidate must have knowledge of means and methods associated with the heavy equipment trades, both commercial and residential.
Must have knowledge of or be trainable in preventive maintenance procedures, including looking up and ordering parts from parts manuals for diesel and gasoline powered equipment.
The candidate will be willing to become NCCER certified so that he/she may sign off on performance profile objective demonstrations observed in lab.
An understanding of line and grade procedures and the various types of instruments used in the measurement aspects of the trade including builders levels, lasers, transits and total stations is preferred.
DESCRIPTION: Typical duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists students and heavy equipment instructor during applied learning and other activities in lab.
- Ability to lift objects up to 70 lbs.
- Inspects machinery and has the ability to recognize potential safety problems associated with same.
- Knowledge of wire welding procedures preferred.
- Able to demonstrate aspects of the trade.
- Must satisfy all job related attendance requirements
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
LOCATION: Live Oaks
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday
SALARY: $20.82 per hour /$21.95 per hour for ESEA Qualified (Does not include benefits)
