Currently hiring Special Education School Floater
As floater you have the unique opportunity of being a valued asset to all teams K-8, and bridging the gaps when key staff members are away from the building during planned or unplanned days of absence or breaks. Floaters are expected to maintain classroom health and safety standards, implement pre-written lesson plans, update children's daily information electronically, communicate with parents as needed, and follow the program guidelines. Additionally floaters attend weekly team and behavior meetings, and monthly staff meetings.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support and assistance to classroom teachers and students assigned to a team in a K-8 setting.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and sensory breaks.
- Record student progress on data sheets, goal sheets, and daily logs to assist the teacher and Behavior Coordinator.
- Assist with educational classroom needs and student behavior plans.
- Work collaboratively with a school-based team.
