Job Title: High Impact Tutor Reading/Math
-Part Time: 4 days per week; 7 hour work day (120 days annually)
-Hourly rate of pay is $41.20
-No GMSD Benefits Associated with this Position Job Objectives: Germantown Municipal School District’s High Impact Reading/Math Tutors are expected to provide the best instructional practices, which ensure students have a quality educational experience evident by socio-emotional growth and academic achievement.
?Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required. Teaching experience preferred
- Understanding of scienti?cally-based, intervention strategies and research
Evidence to demonstrate candidate’s e?ectiveness as a reading/math instructor - Experience using diagnostic tools to determine standards deficit areas
- Such alternatives as the Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee may ?nd appropriate and acceptable

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: - Provide targeted interventions to individuals and small groups of students using research-based strategies and resources aligned to TN state standards
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students, and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities
- Provide high-quality general education instruction to students who are at-risk in reading or math
- Utilize district provided instructional materials, equipment, and guidelines in developing and implementing instructional activities
- Collaborate regularly with core instruction teachers to identify the deficits of students, to set learning goals and targets, and to problem solve with teachers to develop best practices for continuous academic growth of students in reading or math
- Participate in the collection of data, analysis of data results and support the sharing of finding with all relevant staff with district provided diagnostic tools.
- Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process ?delity
- Maintain appropriate standards of student behavior, using behavioral management strategies and techniques
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and con?dentiality of information
- Communicate progress (gains and challenges) with parents of students served
- Performs such other duties as assigned by Teaching Learning and Assessment Supervisor and/or building level Principal.

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises students as designated on the class roster. Also supervises students in general common areas when class is not in session.
