Preschool Childcare Assistant, Goodrich Children’s Center The job description will vary depending on program size and particular site needs. At times job responsibilities may overlap.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Applicants must be personable, reliable and child-oriented.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Compliance to complete Central Registry Clearance.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Preschool Assistant is responsible for working as a part of a team in the delivery of programs for a group of children. The assistant works in cooperation with the lead teacher or site supervisor.
- Assist lead teacher with activities and instruction.
- Provide students with the appropriate leadership during the program.
- Assist with preparing and setting up activities, implement portions of the daily program as directed by the lead teacher.
- Maintain safety and ensure the welfare of all enrolled children, supervision of children during all activities.
- Day-to day operation; including maintaining a harmonious and efficient learning environment.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with classroom teachers, co-workers, families and other staff.
- Attends all staff meeting and other work related functions as required.
- Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment and ensure students conduct themselves appropriately.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies.
- Assist with students check in/out policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding all students.
- Willingness to complete 16 clock hours of annual professional development training and certification continuation in CPR/First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE:
Monday thru Friday approximately 25-29 hours per week
SALARY:
$11.82 - $13.05 per hours, based on experience

Site Director

2024/25 school year. Paid orientation training available during the 2024 school year.
