5th Grade Teacher, Multiple Positions (due to promotion and reassignement) 2024-2025 School Year Applications will be reviewed as received. This posting will remain up and open until filled. You may apply as long as this position is posted. Seeking strong elementary teachers with knowledge and understanding of instruction. The individual must possess knowledge and understanding of elementary school classroom management and organization, current best practices in the areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies teaching and learning. Candidates should possess the ability to meet the unique and individual needs of all students. Knowledge and experience administering and using a variety of performance assessments needed. Regular in-person attendance required. Valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate or antcipated by September 2024. May consider applicants who are willing to commit to obtaining certification. COMPENSATION: STEA Agreement currently provides annual salary of $44,037 Bachelor's Degree (no previous teaching experience); $51,537 Master Degree, (no previous teaching experience). The parties are currently negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement to be effective for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond, Standard employee benefits. Pursuant to Public Act 68 of 1993 and Public Act 83 of 1995, selected new employees shall submit to fingerprints and a criminal background check at the employee's expense.
