KINDERBOUND PROGRAMMING: July 28-31 and August 4-7 (Monday-Thursday)
This 8-day program will focus on the foundational skills needed to begin Kindergarten. Utilizing the Kinderbound curriculum, teachers can quickly provide students with the basic understanding, knowledge, and skills required to transition from preschool or home to the kindergarten classroom.
Kinderbound teachers:
- Monday through Thursday only.
- Teachers must be certified to teach Kindergarten.
- Teacher day: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Student day: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Stipend: $41.53 per hour (subject to change with CBA)
Kinderbound summer school administrator:
- Monday through Thursday only.
- The summer school administrator, hosted at William Foster School, is responsible for the program's success. Duties include, but are not limited to, parent and teacher meetings, arrival and dismissal procedures, restroom, recess, food rotations, curriculum implementation, discipline, and walkthroughs.
- Admin day: 7:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- Teacher day: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Student day: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- *Must hold the proper license
- Stipend: $ 2,000 for 2 weeks
Kinderbound school office manager:
- Monday through Thursday only.
- The summer school office manager will be hosted at William Foster Elementary School and will maintain records, answer questions, and assist teachers, students, and administrators in various ways.
- Office Manager day: 7:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- Stipend: Regular hourly rate
Cafeteria staff:
- Monday through Thursday only.
- Support with preparing and serving breakfast, and leave a snack for dismissal.
- Located at William Foster
- Cafeteria Staff day: 7:45 - 9:45
- Stipend: Regular hourly rate
Housekeepers:
- Monday through Thursday only.
- Supported cleaning all areas of use, staff restrooms, and lunch clean-up during summer school hours.
- Located at William Foster
- Custodial Staff day: 7:45 - 12:45
- Stipend: Regular hourly rate
